Nationals is over, with Wendy and her girls finishing 7th in the nation for Division II U12 Girls. They got really close, a lower than normal performance in their last game championship bracket sent them to the losers bracket. In the 1st game in the losers bracket a starter injured her knee and was out of the tournament. The went on to win that game but lost the next game. The tournament was a double elimination so the winner of the loser bracket faces the winner of the championship bracket.

The winner of the losers bracket was a team from Winchester Va who Wendy and her girls played 7 times already this year and beat them 3 of those meetings. The Winchester Rising Stars then won the championship game in overtime, but since that was the 1st lose for the winner of the championship bracket they had to play one more game. In this final game the Rising Stars lost by 1 point.

It was again another great run for the Lady Sting and a good indicator that they are on course to continue to do well in the coming years.
