Wendy returned home last night from Jersey. Travel in our area yesterday was crazy after south bound I-95 was closed for the day when an accident caused some chemicals to be spilled. There were back-ups on all the side roads and turned the commute from 45 min. to almost 2 hours.
I am getting promoted to Major today at 1330. I was promoted on the books 1 July, but the swearing in ceremony is not until today because I was on leave last week and then my boss was on travel this week. It will be small without too many folks in attendance, then the wetting down (party put on by the person being promoted will be next Friday the July 15.
