Not me. One of the biggest things I will miss about the military is the long weekends. Working on Columbus Day is not something I have done in 10+ years. It did create an easy commute this morning.
Wendy is home with Devyn and Tristan who are off because of a teacher holiday and not because of Columbus Day. Ayden has school today, but is off on Thursday because Yom Kippur begins and his school is temporally run out of a synagogue. So I am planning on working from home with him on Thursday.
This weekend we took the boys and three of their friends up to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum and went up the Washington Monument. It was pouring out so we thought it might me a slow day in DC for tourists, but we were wrong. We got up there at 11am and the place was packed. Ayden and his friend were hard to keep track of. Once you get to a display and start reading, if they were not into it they were moving on. So we just had to keep our thumb on them. We have been here for 4 years and have never been. Tristan had been buggin' to go to one of the museums.
Wendy is working on remodeling the front living room, last weekend was painting and then that turned into ripping up the carpet and tiling. It is mostly a weekend job and should be finished next weekend, maybe.
