Skids

One of the state department senior civilian representatives was given
a helicopter tour of the area up to the Kajaki Dam along the Helmand
River. We were give three seats for the trip, so I sent out three of
the Marines from the Detachment. I have flown over the Kajaki Dam
before, although not in an open door Huey. They all really enjoyed it
and although these are not my pictures they are too cool not to post.
First is the Huey's taking off, then picture out the door as one of
the defense flares went off (think it was a malfunction, not reacting
to a threat), and finally the Kajaki Dam.
