We left on the bus at 6am Wed from my high school and got to New York around 11 or 12. After we unloaded the bus we went to Columbia University for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Convention. We were to pick certain classes at the convention to attend there that afternoon. At around 430pm we headed back to the hotel where we got our subway passes and then headed to Brooklyn where we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. From the end of bridge we went to the 911 memorial. After the memorial we walked to a library where we rested before taking the subway back to our hotel.
The Thursday we headed back to Columbia at 8am where we attended more classes until 4pm with a lunch break at 1230. After our last class we went back to the hotel and had free time in Time Square and the surrounding area until 8pm. At 8pm we saw the play Cat on the Hot Tin Roof and after that we had more free time in Time Square.
Friday the classes ended at 1230 so different groups were formed and went to different locations. My group went on the Staten Island Ferry and then took the subway to the Bowery. Then we went to the Museum of Modern Art. Then more free time in Time Square and the surrounding area. Saturday, Central Park zoo and left New York at 3pm to head back to Virginia
