July-ish

Summer is rolling right along.

Ayden spent three weeks at Grandmar and Papap's. He went to a vacation bible school, a town camp at a park with a pool and then an acting camp at Bulter Community College. We got some video of it and will post a link when I get it up on YouTube. Next week he has a football camp.

Tristan had a basketball camp at a local high school the 1st week of summer break, then he had a "lazy week", where he bumbed around the house and the neighborhood. Then he went with Wendy to Penn State for a tournament her girls were in. That lasted to Wednesday and then they drove to Butler and Wendy's parents house for a few days and returned with Ayden yesterday. Next week Tristan is in another basketball camp at the same place Ayden's football camp is, Booth Sports Complex.

Devyn is up at Grandmar and Papap's working at Kelly Chevrolet. He seems to enjoy it and Wendy heard from the owner that Devyn is doing really well and working hard. Devyn does wish he was home with his friends and is a little bumbed about it all, but this was the only job offer he had. He will be home soon enough, to enjoy the end of summer.

Wendy is doing well, busy with work and just one more big tournament with her basketball team. It is the junior national tournament in DC. She is also going to Philly next weekend for her friend Cindy's 40th. Wendy turns 40 in Sept. Don't tell that I told you.

I recently joined the 4th Civil Affairs Group as my Marine Corps Reserve unit. Marine Corps Civil Affairs support Marine units with interactions with civilian populous, infrastructure coordination and other support missions. This is a drilling unit which means I will be doing the weekend a month and the two weeks a year.
