We spent the weekend in the DC area. Wendy and I had dinner reservations at Restaurant Eve and some Marriott points so just brought the boys and stayed over for the night after dinner.
On the way up we stopped at Mount Vernon. We had not been there in a number of years and they have done a lot of upgrades. It was a really good experience and we didn't even go through the actual main house because of the line. They had some great movies, displays, walks and out buildings to explore. All the boys were not excited to go, but I think they actually enjoyed it.
The dinner was great and was in the tasting room. We did the seven course meal, which was actually like 10 with all the little pre-course intermediates. The boys got some nice room service at the hotel while watching a movie.
On Sunday we went to the national zoo. It was a good time and made it to the Gorilla display just after food was put out and there was a lot of action to watch.
