Concert Weekend

Wendy and I had a concert weekend. We went to two concerts at a nearby outdoor amphitheater - Nissan Pavilion. The first night was my choice. We saw 311, the Whalers and Pepper. 311 was the headliner. They were good with lots of energy. Pepper was really good too, I had not heard of them but they were jammin'. The Whalers played all of the Bob Marley and the Whalers classics. The young'uns at the concert were crazy into 311.

The second night was Wendy's pick with the Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows. Wendy is goo goo for the lead singer Johnny Reznick of the Goo Goo Dolls. They went on first and did a good show. The Counting Crows were a bit odd. Most of the songs sounded different then the radio/studio versions you heard and took a while to figure out which ones they were. The average of the audience the second night was at least 10 years older.
