I think you all need to just realize that this posting entries is going to be a weekly thing. I would love to do more, but lack of material worth of writing about and the actual remembering to do it, is not going to support more than once a week. So don't feel you need to check more than once a week.
Tristan celebrated his birthday Friday night with a couple of friends. There were five all together, 3 girls and 2 boys. I would not call Tristan a ladies man, but they certainly do like hanging with him and followed him close around the house as they played. All but one girl rode the bus home with Tristan and Ayden. They ran around the house for a while and then we left for the movies. We went to see Ice Age II. Ayden, Devyn, Wendy and I went along. It was tough to sit through. Those kids movies are much better at home, when you can get up an leave to do something else during the slow parts. The kids all enjoyed it. After the movie we all came back to the house for some pizza and cake. We did feel a little bad for Tristan because we did not have any candles so we used a match stick. He blew it out and made a wish, so that should count.
Devyn went with a friend for the weekend to a piece of property that they have in southern Virginia. I think they have a camper by a river, a dirt bike and some other out door furniture. Devyn came back late Sunday evening and seemed to have had a good time. Riding the dirt bike and shooting a 12 gauge shoot gun were the high lights.
Wendy had a regional tournament for her girls basketball team. They came in second and qualified for the state tournament at the end of the month. They are lucky this year that the state tournament is located in the area. Last year it was in the south west tip of Virginia. It ended up being a 5 hour plus trip to get there. They had a tough time with the team that won the tournament, but will see them again in states and hope to revenge the loss.
