Well, we are up and back from our trip to the Cape for Dad's surprise birthday party. We left Friday afternoon, stayed overnight in CT then drove the rest of the way on Saturday. Saturday night we stayed at Cousin Jessica and Dan's house. We had a little gathering there, without Papa HoJo (Dad). Mom got out of work early and came over. Papa HoJo was oblivious sitting at home thinking Mom was a work. Then on Sunday we got him to the party and he was completely surprised. In his usual fashion he came down the stairs of the Golf Club and saw Ayden at the bottom of the stairs and thought "the kid looks a lot like Ayden", Then he saw Tristan and thought the same thing and then slowly put it all together. He stood on the stairs for a couple of seconds with his mouth open staring at the about 50 guests.
It was a nice party with a lot of people, I had not seen in a number of years. There was a bit of a roast for the old man, some Patriots watching and some good general hanging out.
We left Monday morning at about 0730 and made it back to VA in about 9hours.
