Connie’s Funeral

Wendy left Tuesday night to go to Philadelphia. She spent the night with Katie, a college teammate. She then met the boys at the Airport the next morning. Papa Hojo and Grammi changed the boy’s flight from Saturday into BWI to Wednesday into Philadelphia. They enjoyed flying alone and no problem arose. I met them all up there Wednesday afternoon after an important business meeting, a golf tournament.

We went to the Connie’s Wake Wednesday. It was good to be able to go and pay our respect to the family. Someone said the next day that over 700 people came. She really did affect many lives. The funeral was again a special tribute with nice words from her daughter, Amy, and a touching Eulogy by her sister, Frannie. Devyn went up during the service to lay flowers for him and his brothers. She really cared for all our boys.

While we were in Philly we stayed over Katie and Chris’s house. They have two daughters (6 and 3) and a Son (5). Ayden had a blast running around with the kids and was quite upset Thursday afternoon when we had to go. The boys and I headed back to Virginia and Wendy went north to Piccatiny, NJ for a Friday meeting.
