Ayden Football

Another recreational football season for Ayden has been completed. It was certainly a long one. In eight games I think Ayden's team scored one offensive touchdown. There is also a slaughter rule in the league where if a team is losing by more than 40 points, the losing team gets the ball until they score. I think this happened in 4 of the games. The league Ayden is in allows 13 year olds to play which Ayden would meet next year, but they can't weigh more than 150 lbs which Ayden did not meet this year. Kids can be over the weight limit (except if 13), but they have to play offensive or defensive linemen. He should be able to make the 8th grade team this year. He is looking to try out for wrestling this year for his school. He does not think a lot of 7th graders make the middle school basketball team so he is going to try wrestling and then play recreation basketball with the county. He certainly is our eager one, he is also in chorus, fellowship of Christian athletes, drama club, church youth group and an intramural club with the middle school. All of these meet outside of regular school hours.
