We had an Army/Navy party last weekend that was a good time. We had folks and their families form our work over. We even rented a 1/4 Keg of Fred Red and a Kegorator from www.blueandgraybrewingco.com. Our basement turned quite busy with over 20 kids running around. I think the best complement was from one of the kids that was pretty shy while at the house but when he was leaving asked me if he could come back. It was pretty cute.
Tristan's basketball games have started. They have lost the 1st two games, but Tristan is showing some great effort on defense that is impressive. He also tried out for an AAU team last weekend. I am pretty sure that he won't make it, but the real victory was getting him there. He kicked and screamed all weekend about not wanting to go. Really not wanting to go. But in the end he went, gave a great effort and I think is glad he did. In his last Rec game he fell to the ground under the basket going after the game. He has been complaining about his wrist hurting and not being able to do pushups at school P.E. We took him to the doctors last night, possible sprain and we are going for x-rays tonight. Hopefully, it will feel better for Saturday's game. They do need him. With a slight sprain and his main contribution to the game is standing tall and blocking shots it would be great to see him toughen up and take one for the team.
I went to the Patriot's/Raven's Monday night football game this week in Baltimore. I was invited by Doug Moseley a friend from high school. We went with Dan Cox another buddy from high school and their friend Erik. The getting together with them was great. We enjoyed some pre game beverages, had some dinner, joined a tailgater and headed into the game. The atmosphere was pretty light as everyone was expecting a blowout. We had some good light hearted exchanges with the fans around are seats at the beginning. As the game went on and the score stayed close things got intense. The Raven's had a chance and the fans were getting cocky. In the final minutes with a bunch of penalties, a poorly timed Ravens timeout and the Patriots taking the lead, the Raven fans were irate. We were quick to duck out with 40 seconds to go, just to make sure we had some free moving space as the game ended. Great time.
