Burke Rprt Continued

Base support at the condo was again top notch. The evening dinners provided great leftovers for the next day's lunch. The first night was Thorie's Chicken Enchiladas, Then Aunt Sue's beef stew, Dad's Meatloaf and finishing with Aunt Mary's home made meat sauce and pasta on Super Bowl Sunday.

There also was a good amount of marshmallow fluff consumed. Between sandwiches, Todd's brownie topped with fluff and Pat's spoon full of fluff with peanuts sprinkled on top, the amount of fluff with have to be tripled next year.

The best wipeout goes to Ian. After his 1st day of skiing he was getting ready to ski back into the condo. He started off and looked like he was going to fast but seemed to be under control. I tried hard to keep up, having to push with my poles to stay close. He speed kept increasing but he control seemed to match his speed. Our condo is about halfway down the 1st lift, as he was approaching the small drop into the condo's back yard I noticed that he was not slowing down. It was at this point that I knew a crash was coming. Right before the drop he managed to turn a bit and save himself from taking the drop and hitting the house. Instead he found a snow pile kids were using for a jump and slammed into it. He immediately lifted his head gave the thumbs up and then went limp again. This crash was seen from a couple of our folks in the condo and the 5 or so that were trying to follow him.

Pictures should be up tonight so check Wed morning.
